Hotels near Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur

We all have to do it sometime, leave the country to renew the visa. It's an annoying process and can be expensive. Me I thought about going to Loas but I've seen pictures from Loas and it's not a place I really wanna spend my downtime at same goes for Cambodia not that I can renew my visa there anyway and from Chiang Mai Kuala Lumpur is a direct flight and it's only $200USD round trip an inexpensive flight considering going to Bangkok and back can cost that much on Thai airways.

If you've chosen to go to Kuala Lumpur and haven't done it before let me tell you how it works.

You can't get a flight that can get you to the embassy in the morning, you just won't make it in time so you're going to be stuck spending your first night in the country without doing anything with your passport let alone applying for the Visa. So next day you go then they will tell you to come back in 2 days. So if you go there plan to stay for at least 3 nights if your worried stay no more than 5. First time I did it I somehow managed to stay just one night but that was a complete hassle and I had to suck a lot of ass at the Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

Make sure you take at least 4 passport photos and money for the Visa and at least 3 photocopies of your passport, be prepared when you go tot the embassy at least take a pen. The embassy there is packed and it's likely you'll wait around for at least 4 hours but you only have to do it ever few years so it's not that bad.

If you really don't care about taking in the sites or do anything then I suggest you get a hotel room near the embassy. I stayed at the Nomad and thought it was pretty good. Don't think you're going to find a computer cafe or one to use at the hotel either, this place is not Thailand and most people have a computer at home. So take your own WiFi is free at the hotel.
