Hi Khun Chris. when I read story you write about Thai -esan gril.I really feel bad to here like this.I come from Esan too.Yes a lot of esan gril work in bar or look for yurop man but not all 100% bad lady like u thinking. Have some good some bad.I don't no why u think like this maybe have something happen with u before and make u think wrong about Thai gril.I not so good English but I can read and understand what you mean.Hope you understand and one day if you find good lady maybe you can change your mind.. xx. very nice comments derek. Its funny how you always hear the sad stories. I met my wife during the tsunami she is a Thai Doctor we have been married for 5 years I have never given money to her or her family she has paid for everything seriously we have several businesses that we have opened in Isarn – Nong Bua lumpu, Korat, Ubon & Udon we also have 3 resorts on koh samui all from her. Oh and guess what shes a isarn girl and yes she came from a poor family. Isaan is Isaan, the most 99.99% work or worked in a bar or other human services, they are not educated, IQ between 70-80, they only listen to their family, the Thai man is bad?Thats because the girls are same, they drink alcohol more than a normal person, so the most British love them, as the most who come over here are also basic educated full of tatoo and fuck here and there, they fit the best with the Isaan, I stay wel over 12 years here and know those insects who eating insects also.
Do you realy want a wife or just something to hang around with? Even in Europe you would not build a home and buy a car or and give family land and money without getting married and save your money by let it hold by a company without her family inside, wel ?! if you do then possible your IQ is lower than the Isaan <50 as at the end they walk away with all! and you,you are expentable. Oh by the way I am married with a Thai, not Isaan // who can communicate with them have to be the same level// some are lucky but the most are get F up// you can get a girl out of a bar, but never the bar out of the girl, they wil always think about money only. so are there family members.

Most people in Chiang Mai aren’t even originally from Chiang Mai.

It’s all sweet smiles masking deception. Ask any Thai guy. They’ll tell you. Northern Thai girls are highly prized, and they know how to get what they want. They deal with Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Korean–all of ‘em. And for all this knowledge, when they do want a quick cash infusion, they go to Singapore and are rated the lowest of the whores.

Don’t tell me the north has the classy girls.

I lived in Thailand for two years. 14 months in Chiang Mai–miserably most of the time, and 9 months in Chiang Rai. Chiang Rai is more low key. The only difference is that they don’t care about farang, but they won’t hesitate to play the game.

The hope for the north is that the Christian element is alive there, but if you go the the First Church of Chiang Mai and listen to the dogma, it’s a watered-down, God loves everyone…and He’ll let the good Buddhist into Heaven, too. There’s nothing about Christ in the preaching. Further north you find the Baptists along the Tachileik/Mae Sai border. Perhaps more Christ centric. In Bangkok Church of Joy has the style of a Baptist fundamentalism. Basic. Easy. Simple.

In Udon I’ve found the people to be very friendly, simple, straightforward, and polite. They’re more genuine.

I don’t hang out in the bar areas. After more than two years here, I still avoid them.
