Russian Tasered at Karaoke club in Chiang Mai

This past Monday the 22nd September a Russian tourist Mr. Alexander Sheshko, aged 38 was at the BUNNY GIRL Karoake club located on Chang Klan road in the city of Chiang Mai. He was beaten with sticks and Tasered by 4 security guards at the club for failure to pay his bill.

Russian Guy Tasered at Chiang Mai Karaoke

Mr. Alexander story was he went to the Karoake club around 2 am and asked for the price of 1 bottle of Jack Daniels for which he was quoted 2000 baht. Mr. Alexander Sheshko then ordered a few hors d'oeuvres, mixers, and had 1 of the PR girls come into the room and sit with him. He claims he was unaware that when the girl buys a drink he had to pay for it.

After this another 5 girls came into the room for which he claims he did not ask for and sat down and again the girls proceeded to order more drinks for themselves. Mr. Alexander Sheshko claims he asked the Mama sang to remove the girls that he didn't ask to sit with him.

After a few hours Mr. Alexander Sheshko, Russian Tourist, asked for the bill and to his dismay it was a total of 15,000 baht! He then asked the manager to rethink the bill as it was way too much for what services he received and they came back with a bill of 7000 baht. Everything looked OK for the Russian until the Mama sang came out and then said to the employees he had to pay the 15,000 baht!

This is when things turned bad for Mr. Alexander when 3-4 security guards jumped Tasered him and beat on him submitting him to pay the entire bill.

I’ve been to this place before and the mama sang is mean as! I wouldn’t go here even if you payed me, the rooms are old and it’s overpriced plus they’ll taser you!

lol, this guy has been in Thailand a long time too, you’d think he’d know better, he claims he didn’t know he had to pay for girl drinks, come on, how can you be in Thailand for more than a week and not know that! He got off lucky though I’ve seen worse.

And he started with a bottle of “Jack” no doubt as you mentioned Chris he should have known better! Mean or not maybe Mama sang has dealt with him before?,,,

Nah he’d never been there before, but I’m pretty sure that he was probably really arrogant and being a pain in the ass to get tasered. But this place is a total scam same with Violin Karaoke neither place should be visited.

Chris a lot of your postings are about the seedy side of Chiang Mai. You must spend a lot of time hanging out in these places. This is not the Thailand or Chiang Mai I know where the people are generous and hospitable and thousands of expats would agree with me. Perhaps you should broaden your horizon a little bit and get to know the real people of Thailand. I know there is a seedier under-belly to Thailand, I am not stupid, but you will find these places in any country especially USA. Get out of Chiang Mai and Pattaya for a bit and get to know Thailand. Three cheers for the wonderful people of Thailand. Hip Hip Horray

Obviously this website is of a particular style hence the seedy side. However I do get out and I do know regular Thai people at all levels but I hardly see how that relates to the russian getting tasered!

you mean the ‘real’ people who park their bikes where they want? never give way when driving? constantly lie and consider ‘losing face’ more important than telling the truth? you mean those people? yea see them everywhere

I agree. Keep them in Pattaya. They did a fine job of ruining that place. Would rather they not infest CM too.

    Hi Chris

Nice to hear from you the other day. Hopefully your having A good time wherever you are. I noticed you’re having another party, I’d like to attend. Is it going to be at the 20 Kareoke and if so can the music situation be taken care of?
Let me know when you’ll be back, maybe we can go for a coffee or just give me a call when you have time. Larry

Been here last week, I also wasn’t aware of the fact I had to pay 2000 baht for a heineken. I asked for the manager, same, they beat me up with sticks….. I am fr Holland btw

    • Chris January 4, 2014 at 2:29 pm #

No your right, it’s 250 baht or so for the hieneken but that’s not all you got was it? I mean you sat in the karaoke room probably had a girl or two with you who come with a mamason. I can see how just having one drink can cost 2000 baht. But why would you go into a karaoke for just one beer?
