What he was doing would be be illegal in most countries (probably including your home country).

“Tipped off by a Thai person”

    Not surprised.

This guy has been around for several months. I’ve seen him talking to the police on several occasions. Never any problems before a poo yai called the police on him for having the best kababs around.

How long before a Thai opens the same business in the same location? They can’t stand to see a farang do well at anything. Jealous, incompetent, shit heads. Not one of them can come up with an idea on their own, and then seek to destroy anyone non-Thai (and sometimes Thais) who can. They know how to copy and cheat, not innovate.

Copy and cheat is normal in Capitalism.. it’s not an exclusive Thai thing.
Surely when a falang is involved, they take him down faster

Well are you sure of that ? A person who sells rotee in the same street told me that Perzi was tipped off by a Turkish competitor who is selling Kebab too but was not doing so well. Perzi lost some money in this story, but yesterday, I saw him with his wife on the same street. She was selling Kebabs, while he was watching because he is not allowed to work.

yeah he was tipped off by the competition, Perzi had to throw up 50,000 baht. it’s a shame.

well… if he didn’t have a work permit…? would be the same in any country right? it’s not like internet workers who no one can ‘see’ it’s right on the pavement! sorry for the guy but…

Good point. I dont see how he thought hed get away with it. Things must be tough if youve gotta sell kebabs on the side of the street like this. Im pretty sure at least were im from it would be illegal even for an aussie to sell stuff on the side of the road like that

These Turks are no good scum. They are doing other illegal stuff behind the scenes and using these little food businesses to provide cover. They follow the same business model around the world.

Little rascist don’t you think. The guy in this story isn’t so bad.

      • Reality August 17, 2014 at 10:50 am #

I’m not referring to all Turks, just these types. How do you know he is “not so bad”? In my experience with these types in Chiang Mai they are little mafia wannabes. I’ve also experienced that in other parts of the world. There’s a reason they are set up near the Golden Triangle…
