I don’t think there’s any guy out there that wakes up sober and sane and in the right from of mind and dreams of having a bar gril as a girlfriend. Those that do well, more power to you. But for the rest of us finding a girlfriend means we have to be careful about what kind of thai girl we’re getting with. 1. A good Thai girl is Polite
Even if you can’t speak a word of Thai you should be able to tell if she is polite or not.
2. Good Thai girls are not loud
The loud and obnoxious thai girls you should definately stay away from. Their opinions and childness will drive you to insanity. If a girl talks to you loudly then this is a good sign she’s a rotten apple. But if she’s sweet quiet and demuer than this is exactly the quality of good Thai girls.
3. A Good Thai girl will Wai when first meeting you.
This comes down to being polite again. Thai people Wai to show respect for their elders. Now more than likely the girls your meeting will be younger than you so if you meet a younger thai girl for the first time and she raises her hands to Wai you then this is a good sign that she respects you and others. Because you’re a foreigner it’s less likely that she will Wai just because you’re not Thai. However a Thai girl with a good upbringing and parents will always Wai no matter where you come from.
4. A good Thai girl will wash your clothes
For many Thai girls they don’t have much, they don’t have money to buy you presents or anything like that. For these girls the only thing they have to offer you is their time and whatever they can do to help. Therefore a good Thai girl will likely wash your clothes for you and in many instances demand that you allow them to do it.
5. A good Thai girl wants a real relationship
Even though good Thai girls might even sleep with you on the first date, their motives are clear and they want something real. A good Thai girl will talk more about love than about money.
Characteristics of a bad Thai girl
You can’t have the good without the bad and well let’s just say there is just as many bad girls as there are good girls. When it comes to good looking girls I’d say there is a 50/50 split between the good and the bad. If you meet a bad Thai girl it’s honestly just best to walk away no matter how hot she is.But for some reason guys just don’t listen or they are thinking to much with their dick then their brain. What happens next is a million missed calls waking up early in the morning to some psychotic Thai slag banging on your door yelling “why don’t you answer my phone!?” and in some extreme jealous filled scenarios your Thai girl hires a hitman to gun you down. Don’t be a statistic guys!

Clearly the number one trait of a bad Thai girl. Good Thai girls would never dream of whoring themselves.
2. Bad girls are weird
General weirdness and irregularity are common in bad girls. Extreme ADD induced episodes of mindless gibberish causeing you extreme. If she is weird it’s not cute, she really has issues and you should stay away.
3. Bad Thai girls are lazy
Since bad Thai girls often do number one they don’t see any reason to do anything else. If they need something they open their legs. You’ll never get a lazy girl to wash your clothes.
4. Bad Thai girls smoke
There’s a reason why nearly every girl in Pattaya these days smokes that Shi Sha crap, they’re bad! In Thai society if a Thai girl smokes she’s seen as a lowy by pretty much every other Thai out there. Thai’s like to maintain a air of superiority about themselves but once a Thai girl starts smoking she stops caring what other people think. You want to avoid this girl because it’s more than likely she won’t care what you think either!
5. Loves spending your money
Unlike a good Thai girl who is frugal with your money, bad Thai girls love spending it. If anyone asks you to buy an iPhone, iPad, jewelry, expensive clothes, etc etc. Then stay as far far away from that girl as you can.
Of course all the rules go out the window when your bag is full! D’oh!
Good column! I would also add turns on the TV without asking on day 1 and see how far she goes wearing her shoes into your home. What Thai girl would not remove her shoes in another Thai’s home?

lol, well better late than never!
One thing that I have both read and experienced with regards to “good Thai girls” is to expect the relationship with them to move forward at a glacial pace, and on her terms. As frustrating as it may seem, I have always been of the opinion that if a woman is worth having a relationship with then she is worth waiting for.

Women from Thailand are ranked the world’s second most unfaithful lovers, according to the survey report.
The survey of 29,000 women in 36 countries names the women of Ghana the world’s most unfaithful, with 62 per cent of the women questioned there admitting they often cheat on their boyfriends and husbands.
