My girlfriend and I have been planning a trip to Hua Hin for the past month kind of like a well deserved holiday which we haven’t really had for a long time. It was supposed to be a present for me and my girlfriend as we’ve been working really hard on this new product that we hope to release in the coming few months.
So the trip to Hua Hin was supposed to include me my girlfriend and another girl that we had been chatting to on MSN. About 3 days before we were going to leave the girl pulled out at the last minute citing work commitments (she couldn’t get the time off work). This totally sucked as the girl was super nice and the other girls we know weren’t free so in the end my girlfriend said why don’t we just get a go go girl to come with us. Against my better judgement I agreed since I thought it would be an easy transaction boy was I wrong.
Firstly the girls in Pattaya aren’t that good looking compared to the girls we meet off PostJung and secondly you actually have to pay them money to go with you which I rarely want to do but since I’ve been doing it for the past month trying out different places I felt that it would be an easy transaction provided I could find the right girl.
So I went out on a go go crawl around the go go’s looking for the best girl to go with and it’s a lot harder than you’d think to find a bisexual girl who meets my girlfriends criteria which is no tattoos and no died hair as well as a girl who doesn’t act like a total slut in public. Hmmm that kinda leaves only a handful of girls available and then they have to be willing to go with me and my girl!
Even with this virtually impossible task I was determined to find a girl and I thought I was lucky after I bar fined this girl for the night who was sweet and agreed to come with us in a few days. So the next day I go back to the bar say hello and bar fine for the 3 days we are going to Hua Hin, everything is good. But then the next day she calls me up and she asks when we get to Hua Hin is there going to be two room? HUH? Two rooms I ask for what? We’re sleeping together like I said. Oh I can’t do that? HUH? What do you mean you can’t do that what do you think I’m asking you to do when we go there, I even told her before I paid the bar fines that she had to sleep with both of us but she says she thought about it and now no longer wants to go. WTF!
I’m kinda pissed off with this girl and spend the next 2 hours talking to her on the phone trying to convince her to come but she won’t go. So I tell her I’m going to her bar to tell the mamason to refund me my money. NO! she exclaims and tells me I can’t get my money back. Yeah like hell I can’t if you won’t go with me then I’m getting the money back! She tells me she doesn’t want me to tell Mamason as she’ll get into trouble so instead I drive over to her place pick her up and go to the ATM and make her withdraw 2400 baht of her own money to give to me. She is now happy but now I still don’t have anyone to go with me.
This is a lesson for anyone who bar fines a girl long time, even if you’ve agreed on everything your going to do you should always get a receipt. Anytime you bar fine a girl for more than one night you must get a receipt. Most go go bars are oblivious to this as well and think it’s strange that you even want a receipt. But without a receipt you have no proof that you paid more than just the day for the girl! This happens more often than you’d think as the girls either change their mind or they have a better customer in town.
Pissed and with only one night left to find a girl to come with us I go with a mate and hit up some of the go go clubs that I had some backup plans that I could go with. After hitting a few places and not having any luck I’m getting the feeling that I should just abandon the trip altogether so I tell my mate let’s go check out this place Sugar Sugar in Metro which is near my place. Surprisingly this is my second trip to this club and there are a lot of girls working in this place attracted most likely to the above average salary.
The girls in this place have some good bodies though their faces are less than desirable we sit down and I pick out a girl who fits my girls description even though she’s not thin she will do. I proposition her for 4 days this time and she agrees at a below average price of 1500 a night where most girls will go for 2-3000 a day. I thought this was strange but then sure why not, I’m pretty easy going and figured she just wanted to get away anyway.
I say goodbye to my mate and head home with her were my girlfriend is waiting and seems OK with my choice, and by OK I mean she would have preferred I found someone a little thinner but she’s OK and so we’re all happy and we have an awesome night together.
The next day we get on a bus to Mo Chit then a van to Hua Hin which in total takes 5 hours if you ever get one of these mini vans make sure you don’t get a seat in the back because these vans bounce around and I almost threw up!
We get to this hotel I booked on Agoda called Sea Harmony and it’s more like a Guest House than a hotel it’s quaint and quiet which is kinda what I need after being in Pattaya though the girls don’t seem quite impressed because the bed is a little too small for 3 people but we try to make the most of it anyway.
So before you start thinking I just spent 15000 baht on a 3 day trip to Hua Hin with this girl it was actually my girlfriend who saved up 10,000 baht for the past 6 months who paid the bar fine and was going to pay the girl I also had free points on Agoda so I got the hotel for free so really I paid 1000 baht out of my pocket to get to Hua Hin for me it was a good deal. But this is where it turns bad and how we got ripped off.
Firstly the girl that I got really wasn’t bisexual and I knew that in the beginning but she said she’d done the whole lesbian thing once before but never did threesomes and was the reason why she agreed to come in the first place to try it out. I kinda don’t believe any of that shit since she knew what she was doing. This chick wouldn’t stop messaging on her bloody phone and since we’d spent most of our time on the bus coming down I didn’t really care but in the evening the messaging was constant even as we were downing a bottle of Vodka on the verandah of the guest house.
We wake up the next morning pretty early as it’s hard to sleep with two girls lying next to me and she wakes up picks up her phone and says to us “I want to go home!” WTF. I tell my girl to talk to her as I go for a walk down to the beach and come back and she’s got her bags packed. What’s going on? I inquire wondering what’s going on. She says her heart is no longer in it and she doesn’t like this and wants to go. WTF again!
She’s trying to tell us that she has a customer back in Pattaya she wants to see and doesn’t want to be here anymore. I’m getting pissed at this point but you know I’m a reasonable guy and say OK, just spend another night and you can go the next morning and we’re all good. She won’t have a word of it and with that my girlfriend flairs up and is starting to get abusive to the girl and understandably so since she saved up for months to do this and now this chick is screwing her over.
I’m finding her reason for not staying kinda suspicious but getting a Thai girl to tell the truth is like trying to get water out of a rock. My girlfriend suspects the same thing and we demand to hear the truth but she continues to lie and my girl it outraged now and starts hitting this girl and while I break it up she grabs her phone and our suspicion is confirmed one of her customers is in Hua Hin and she wants to go meet up probably because he’s paying more money than we will, whatever.
I tell her to get the hell out before my girl puts her in a coma and she asks to be paid in full. Hahaha geez the hide of these girls. Man my girl goes bat shit now and I try to calm her down and say that i’ll pay for the 2 nights minus the bar fine of 2 nights which comes to a grand total of 1700 baht. Now she’s angry cause she gets like 800 baht a night to come with us when she could have stayed another night can get the 6000 which she just won’t have any part of it. So I have to pay the money now cause my girl refuses to and we kick her out.
Thinking over the experience now I know where we went wrong and it’s our own fault because like I keep telling people these bar girls and go go girls are a total waste of time. We can find a girl who will come with us pay her own way and be totally into it so even if we paid the chick 10,000 baht a day she wouldn’t have done as good a job as a girl we found on PostJung for free. That’s the last time I’ll ever do that again. As for my trip to Hua Hin, still 2 more nights left and we’ll make the most of it

Nice learning experience – thanks for sharing it. My time with bar girls in the last few years has (for the most part) been much more positive – it all depends on the individual girl. Involving a 3-way definitely adds to the potential drama of such an experience, but perhaps the rewards are worth the risk? The good news is that your girl still has her savings to perhaps organize a dream trip for you and a girl of her own choosing? ;] Hope you managed to enjoy the rest of the trip.
I was in Pattaya a month ago and the standard barfine was 700 baht in a go-go (300 for beer bars).
I did notice you also quoted 1,200 baht in your infographic post.
There was a place, I think next to Angelwitch, which had a barfine of 2,000 baht, but half that after midnight.
I spent the week there with a go-go girl that had worked in multiple go-gos over the last 2 years, and she was the one informing me about prices, so I think she knew what she was talking about (we visited several of the places she had worked or had friends, lots of fun going with a girl that knows half the city
).
As for going long-time with a go-go girl; you can find really nice girls even in Pattaya, take my girl above, I had a great time with her and I ended up paying less than 2,000 baht/day which included the barfine — but you really need to test them for a day to judge their character and see if she actually likes you (in which case she’ll be cheaper and much more fun).
Sounds like quite a nightmare.

Yes, plenty of girls in Hua Hin. Better: Swoop through Sukhamvit in Bkk on the way and get a true hot babe! Its loaded with them. I thought Thailand was candyland, until I got to Pattaya. You have to search for cute girls here.
Pattaya girls are 3rd rate. Bkk, and I’m sure Phuket are better. I’ve seen sweeter ones in Chiang Mai.
I’ve met some hot nice girls (my wife for one) at massage parlors. They have booze, why bother with the straight for-sex girls at bars? You can pay a fine there too. Get a nice massage, with happy ending!

There are all different prices, most expensive go go I’ve been to thus far is 2000 baht just for the bar fine. But sure you can get beer bar girls for 300 baht bar fine. Right now I’m trying to experience as much as this side of Pattaya as I can.
pattya sounds like a royal ripoff.I have paid a bar fine once and it was 300baht.No other time have I been asked to pay one.The gulf islands represent better value for money and better beaches.Most of my experiences have been with freelancers, as I hate sitting in those dodgy bars, I,ve met some stunners in bangkok and paid between 1000 to 2000 per night long time, but have paid up to 3000 short time and had many experiences for free, with civillians and working girls alike, if you have time on yours hands you dont need to pay a baht, theres plenty of free girls floating around

Most bar fines are 300 but I was talking about go go bars here which start at 500 baht and go to about 2000 baht for bar fine more if you go to the Russian clubs which i’ve yet to wander into to, will soon though when i’ve got a 50,000 in my pocket
