The Chiang Mai Gate Hotel is a great spot to rest your feet in chiang mai. I wouldn’t suggesting to stay here long term anymore than a few days basically cause it’s a pain to get to and from anywhere from the hotel unless you have a bike but if you are staying for the weekend i would suggest you get a room here.
This is the closest hotel the Saturday Night walking street fair/market and is located just minutes away from the 24/7 Pratu Chiang Mai Market. The hotel is also easily located in the old city center and because of it’s location it’s quick to get to the large central shopping mall as well as the zoo and Night Bazaar.
The rooms are actually quite well done with good appointments even though the hotel isn’t the newest one in town it is well known and still gets a lot of travelrs. The going rates for the hotel change so i don’t want to be the one listing them here, the highlite of the hotel would be the swimming pool.
