Thai Song of the week

The Thai song this week is ณ บัดNOW (Nah But Now) the singer is called บี้ สุกฤษฎิ์ this guy isn’t gay but damn he comes across that way in the video looks like he’s trying too hard. But it is a popular song this week I’ve been hearing it everywhere. The song is about this guy who really likes a girl who he thinks is totally hot and wants to get to know her. I guess that’s why he looks so happy.

Destination Phuket – Holiday Inn

If you’ve been thinking about a holiday away to one of Thailands biggest islands Phuket then you couldn’t go wrong with the Holiday Inn. I’m not talking about getting a box studio you’d typically stay at. The Holiday Inn in Phuket has 36 villas that have entrance to the private swimming pool area of the hotel. While it’s not your own pool it’s only for those staying in the Villas and it’s large so it may as well be your own. I like the idea of the pool being right in front of my villa as late night swims are always fun. This is a very popular hotel in Phuket and gets lots of holiday travellers.

Travel Gadget – Phone Solar Charger

Premium Solar Charger – Ultra Thin Solar Powered Backup Battery and Charger for Cell Phones, iPhone, iPod, and Most USB Powered Device – Also Includes Built-in LED Reading Light and Window / Windshield Suction Cups

If you’ve ever looked for a slim solar panel charger that could charge up your iphone ipod or pretty much any electrical devide this would be it. The XTG-SOL1500 comes with suction cups for your car, great for sticking on the window of the bus while you drive 10 hours to Chiang Mai. Stick it on the window of the taxi as your cruising down to Pattaya, how about the window of a plane while your flying to Thailand? This device I think has so many potentials and for a cheap price under $30 it’s pretty much a bargain. When the power goes out and for emergencies this device would come in handy.

  1. Actually that singer IS gay, at least according to my wife who follows all the Thai gossip websites. He may be marketed otherwise, but that’s the norm for Thailand. Just take a look at “Bird”, a superstar who’s been around for decades. BTW, that singer is from Chiang Mai.

    1. I don’t know dude, i guess you would say narak which means cute no wait you would say pooying wahn, wahn meaning sweet. But normally you would call a girl wahn which in english you would say girly girl. same thing I think….

  2. You can’t call a girl “sweet cheeks” in Thai. hahaha… It would sound silly if translated literally. In addition it would be entirely TOO forward and aggressive. A softer way may be to say “น้องน่ารักจังนะครับ” (Nong nah-rahg jahng na kraab). Even that, if said to a girl you’ve never spoken to before, it would still sound a bit forward.

    1. Ha, cmon man, don’t you think it sounds a bit forward to call a western girl sweet cheeks in English as well? Kinda the point, more a joke than anything. Thanks for translations though. Sounds like it translates to ‘little cutie’ or something?
