Jobs in Thailand that can pay well that are not teaching jobs

If your looking to work in Thailand then maybe you should asses your skills first. The average salary for English language teacher in Thailand doesn't make a lot of money, actually I know a guy Steve he works at the Chiang Mai University he's just out of college from America and took a teaching job here for 15,000 baht a month. I don't know how he get's by but he does. But if you are looking for a job that could pay more than that then maybe you have the right skills.

Now personally I believe you need 100,000 baht a month to live in Thailand, maybe less if you don't live in Bangkok but this is exactly the kind of money you need to be making in Thailand not just to enjoy your life but also to be saving for the future also. But let's be honest. You need a lot experience to be making that sort of money you'll need extensive experience in your own country and possibly many years experience abroad before you'll be considered for the job in Thailand. You might have to start in a lower paying job before you can move your way up the ladder to get one of these jobs. There is no guarantee however that any of these jobs will land you in the money but from what I've heard many of them can pay a lot more than a crumby old teaching job.

I know this is an old article but what about a farang with a Thai degree? Is it recognized any differently than a US or European degree?
