Two Gifts To Buy Yourself This Christmas

One thing I would love to see this Christmas is for YouTube to start allowing me to pay a monthly subscription so I don't have to look at any more ads on the site. The google ads that pop up are super annoying as are the video ads. I realize people gotta make money but it's getting a bit out of hand. I don't watch TV so really the only things I want are movies and 5min YouTube video. While you can download torrents for free the convenience of just paying and begin watching a video that 100% works in HD and begins streaming is worth it.

Time is money and this Christmas I recommend the following product.

Roku Streaming Media Device

Unless you have a 12mbps connection this device is good for just streaming your media to the TV BUT if you have a good connection (not shared and pay at least 899 baht a month) you probably have a decent enough connection to do this. Before you buy the device though keep in mind you can't actually use Netflix, Hulu etc unless you're in the USA so really in order to use this device you need a VPN connection. A VPN software solution won't work because the device uses WIFI from your router which means you need the VPN at the router.

I highly recommend you get buy a Freedom Routers router. You can take it to any country you want and it'll work not just Thailand! The VPN is embedded into the router so you don't have to ever worry about software on your devices, anytime a device connects to the router it will be secure AND appear to any device that your in the USA, sick of getting the BLOCKED page in Thailand, China etc. Once you have the router you'll never see those pages again, think youporn redtube etc.

If you're still searching the internet and seeing the dreaded Blocked by the Royal Thai Police page then get out of the stone age and into the 21st century with Roku.

Where’d you pick up the router? I always wonder about shipping and customs and stuff …

If you’re in Thailand they’ll send it to you, it’s a local branch of the company.
