I’ve seen a lot of really stupid signs in Thailand before, most common one is french fried. I’m not one to talk about spelling and grammar but when it comes to naming your business, this is something you should really put some effort into. So while I’m riding around Khon Kaen I see this sign and i’m like “what”. It’s called Fligks.
What makes Fligks so ridiculous is it’s a Movie Rental Shop. Immediately i’m looking at it thinking that they honestly made the mistake is their little tag line:
Born to be a Fligker!
Now you might be tempted to comment and say then meant to be Fligkers but the the Thai version actually reads ฟลิคส์ or ฝลิคส์ I can’t tell because of the font, but regardless this would translate into Flicks and not flickers. I’m not even sure if I want to be a Flicker either.
