Kony 2012 Officially Viral

If you havn't heard about Kony 2012 you will soon. The new movie by Invisible Children was released a few days ago and is attracting millions of views and awareness about the current most evil man in the world. To be honest I've never heard of this guys name before but I had heard of the crimes he committed.

The movie is about Joseph Kony a ruthless Ugandan warlord that kidnaps children and forces them into his army and takes women to be his sex slaves. Pretty nasty stuff and there is no doubt this guy needs to be taken out. Watch the movie first then hear what I have to say about it.

In the movie you heard about how they need to keep the US troops in there to help find and capture Kony and how they need to do it this year 2012! But what on earth are 100 US troops going to do. Didn't they have like 10's of thousands of guys looking for Bin Laden and it took them 10 years to find the dude? I don't see how 100 US advisers are really going to help anything.

Buy a bracelet stick up a poster? Is that really going to take this guy down, I'm sure Kony is somewhere deep in the jungle laughing and loving all the attention.

What they should be doing is taking the donation money hire a massage mercenary group and offer 100million dollars to the group that brings back his head. But what will end up happening is they will probably raise that much money and split it between the iPhone packing hipster movie makers.

I didn't know about Kony and I do now so their awareness campaign is going pretty good, last night the video had 4 million views i wake up this morning and it's got 15 million views. But going viral and letting the world know isn't going to stop the guy, only a bullet to the head.

In the video you hear the guy from the international criminal court talking about catching and arresting the guy. Honestly is this guy going to be arrested? The only way your going to catch the guy is with an M16 and cut him up.

Am I going to buy one of their action kits and post them up here in Thailand? No but i'm sure some hippy near Tapae is going to so don't be surprised if you see them being painted around Thailand on the 20th of this month.

The awareness is great I love the idea but the groups intentions to support US troops to the action is futile. The world doesn't need Kony but it certainly doesn't need any more intervention by the US government.

What do you guys think is the best way to take out Kony?

I think the government knows a lot more, a lot sooner, than they let on, especially when it comes to knowing where someone is. There is always someone who will tell you anything for the right price. Some people stay alive because they have political usefulness that we don’t know about. What the hell is a “Massage Mercenary”?

I heard its a bunch of BS man, just a way to make money off the bracelets. All that stuff that he did happened a long time ago and he is not even in power anymore. We’d be better off focusing our time and efforts on something more worthwhile

“The world doesn’t need Kony but it certainly doesn’t need any more intervention by the US government.”

This. As an American I am sick and tired of seeing my money and fellow countrymen going off to police the world.

I wish we could be as isolationist as possible.

You know how much money we send overseas?

    Fuck that.

Let the world solve its own problems. If the country in question devolves into a shithole then oh well. Let someone else clean it up.

I cannot speak for all Americans but everyone in my social circle shares this same sentiment. Everyone is fed up.
